To rent a motorbike, you must be at least 21 years old and have valid ID. We request from you to be confident and experienced motorbike rider.
For younger customers we offer smaller engine scooter, and they have to have valid license. Scooter engine sizes are 125 ccm (requires A1, A2, or A motorcycle license), 150 ccm (requires A1, or A motorcycle license), 300 ccm (requires A1, or A motorcycle license), and 750 ccm (requiers A motorcycle license).
Reservations are made in advance in order to secure preferred bike for requested period. We do ask for 30 % of total booking cost for the reservation of the bike. The remaining 70% of balance is to be paid upon the arrival at the Desmo office.
We accept different payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and cash. However, please note that a valid credit card is required for the security deposit. Cash payments may be subject to additional requirements or restrictions, so it's best to check with our staff in advance.
Yes, we require a security deposit before renting a motorcycle. The amount of the deposit varies depending on the motorbike model and is fully refundable upon returning the motorcycle in the same condition it was rented. Security deposit is done by major credit card. American Express is not accepted in Croatia so it is not possible to pre authorized security deposit by credit card.
Passport or valid ID. The license to drive motorcycle in Croatia, other EU countries or any other neighboring countries ( Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania , Macedonia, Kosovo, …) is required full A license that allows you to drive a motorcycle of unlimited power and engine size. If you have A1 you can drive small motorcycles up to 11kw - 125cc, A2 licenses will allow you to ride a motorcycle or scooter with a power output between 20KW and 35kw you can drive smaller motorcycle, while with AM category, which you get with the B category, you can only drive mopeds and scooters, and allows you to ride a vehicle up to 50cc.
Rental price included with top and side case, phone holder, phone charger, insurence. You can also rent additional equipment in our office. Our bikes are also equipped with cigarette charger for your cellphone.

DESMO ADVENTURES offer one way rental. The price are different depending on the place of motorcycle return. With office in Split and Dubrovnik we make an easy drop off. One way rentals are subject to availability. Each booking of one way rental has to be pre arranged with Desmo team. One way rentals shorter then 3 days usually are possible.
Road assistance will provide you a piece of mind as you ride roads of Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, Italy and more. In every corner we can assist and solve your problems. Road side assistance provides assistance on the road and tow coverage by approved vendor of Desmo adventure. If you have purchased road side assistance we will wave the fee up to 50 kilometers of the occurrence of breakdown. For longer distances then 50 kilometers of the occurrence you will be billed for services provided. Road assistance is included with certain package. We provide 24/7 roadside assistance in case of breakdowns or emergencies during the rental period. Our team will assist you and ensure that you are back on the road as soon as possible. In short word said, we will help you and cover the expenses anywhere you ride up to 50 km of the occurrence, so it is highly recommended.
Our motorcycle are full of fuel before each rental. We expect to have them return with the same level of the fuel that you get. If you returned less than full tank we will do refiling the tank for you for the fee of 60 Euro, and 80 euro for BMW R1250GS adventure and R1300GS.
If you lose the key, we expect you to pay the price of the replacement key. Depending on the motorcycle model price can be from 150 – 300 euro. Also delivery of replacement key to your destination is to be covered by the renter. Duration of the deliver of the key varies depending on your current location.
Yes. We do deliver motorcycles to the requested destination. It is all available upon the specific requested period. Delivery locations and its fees:
In case of new damage on the motorcycle during rental period, you are have to inform us immediately. Depending the extent of the damage, you will be responsible for repair costs up to the amount of the security deposit. Each damage will be repaired by the price list of the official dealer/manufacturer. Total cost of the damage may be calculated after motorcycle gets repaired and final charge will be made once when we are informed by dealer’s mechanic.
Yes. All location are open to walk-ins during business hours if there are motorcycle availability for requested period.
Catastrophic mechanical failures are rare. We regularly maintain our motorcycles so that they are mechanically sound before and during the tour. In the unlikely case of a motorcycle breakdown, we will make every attempt and use all resources at our disposal to get the bike to a service professional. In the very unlikely event that we cannot fix the bike, we will provide a replacement motorcycle. Also, the van carries a spare motorcycle if pre arranged by Desmo team. Do not try to fix mechanical failure by yourself. Each motorcycle is under warranty and has to be inspected and fixed by authorized dealer. Desmo team will provide you with certain steps in order to remove/fix the failure of the motorcycle. Repairs of the motorcycles can be fixed to nearest and most convenient mechanic as long as it communicated by the renter and agreed on repair provider and costs of the repair.
Desmo adventure motorcycle fleet is maintained regurarly. Tires are changed regularly. If the flat tire is due to normal wear and tear or a non-negligent issue, the rental company should cover the cost of repairs. However, if the tire damage is a result of negligence or misuse, you may be held responsible. Damage to the tire or puncture of the tire is subject to replacement with a new tire. Rentee is subject to cover the cost of the new tire and its replacement. In the case of flat tire please contact Desmo team, we will give you instruction and help you to find closes mechanic to change/repair the tire.
We do offer a GPS system. We offer GPS system in a shape of Scenic Motorcycle Navigation app available on mobile phone provided by Desmo adventure. Scenic GPS navigation on Desmo phone is subject to availability to rent in Desmo adventure office. Scenic navigation by Desmo is filled with pre set motorcycle routes of the area and surrounding countries. The available routes are carefully picked, ridden, constructed by local riders in order to provide you the best and most interesting routes. Our navigation system will take you turn-by-turn to carefully picked point of interest. Each point provided has detail explanations of the location and activities there. Highly recommended to use. Desmo scenic navigation system is available to rent at the office for a price of 15 Euro/day. App is set up with detailed and numerous routes of the area. The system offer turn-by-turn navigation so it is easy to take you places of interest with.
In EU and surrounding country helmet is required by law. We also recommend to wear other protective gear like motorcycle jacket, boots, pants, gloves …
We do offer helmets, jacket, boots, pants, gloves. Helmets come in different sizes, we offer full face helmet, flip up helmets and open face helmets. We also have a rain suits. There are different sizes of jackets, boots and pants as well, and you can choose your size at Desmo office. You can choose your perfect size once in the office.
Yes. In our office we offer you luggage storage. It will be safe and secure as you ride the area.
Our motorcycle are equipped with top and side cases. We offer Givi takker cases for our motorcycle . Top Givi trakker case have volume of 58 liters, with side cases of 46 liters and 37 liters. Some motorcycles a equipped with all three cases, some motorcycle models have only top case. Other soft bags (Waterproofed) are also available in our office. Three boxes are included in price of the motorcycle.
Yes, you can extend your rental period if you need. It is best to contact our office as soon as possible to request an extension. Extention of the rental is subject to availability.
Yes you can cancel or modify your reservation . It is best to contact our office directly to discuss any changes to your reservation. Desmo adventure requests 30% of total cost as a reservation amount, please note in the case of no-show Desmo adventure will keep the full amount of reservation.

Yes. We encourage our customers to return their rental bikes during business hours in order to close out their reservation and avoid additional charges. After hours pick up and drop off has to be communicated with Desmo adventure office to arrange the time. After hour pick up drop off has a fee of 30 euro. Late Charge: A 30 EURO per hour penalty is assessed if the motorcycle is returned late from scheduled drop off time.
Yes. Our motorcycle are insured for border crossing which means you are completely covered in surrounding countries.
Security deposit is mandatory for each rental. Security deposit is credit card pre-authorized at the day of the motorcycle pick up. At the end of the renal period and the motorcycle drop off we release the deposit back to the customer credit card. In some cases, it may take time for deposit to be released, it depends on banking system. Any possible damages the motorbike, traffic violations, loss of the equipment, or fuel missing is charged to security deposit.
